Breaking Dawn is the muchly anticipated final book in the best selling Twilight Saga. Once again Stephanie Meyer triumphs with the series conclusion.

Following on from the three previous books in the saga Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, Breaking Dawn once again has fans of the series on the edge of their seats as they turn the pages to see how the story will end.

The Plot: Bella's Story

Bella and Edward marry early on in the book and embark on their honeymoon as a newly married couple. Finally consummating their marriage results in a terrifying discovery. Bella is pregnant. Edward sweeps her back home to the Cullen family with his mind set to destroy the unborn child. However Bella creates and unlikely ally in Rosalie, who turns into Bella's protector. Jacob returns to help protect Bella when news of the pregnancy reaches the pack causing them to feel the treaty has been broken. As the child is half human half vampire, no one is really sure how things will progress and it soon becomes too strong for Bella's mortal body. After broken ribs and pelvis and a new found thirst for blood, Bella's body cracks under the strain and the child is "born".

The Plot: Jacob's Story

The middle half of the book is written from Jacobs viewpoint and readers are treated to a different side of the story as seen through the eyes of Jacob Black. The struggling but growing friendship between Jacob, Seth and the Cullens is explored in more detail and there is more in depth descriptions about the werewolf pack and their abilities. Jacob is at first disgusted by Bella's pregnancy and is only placated by seeing how distraught Edward is also. However, once the child is born Jacob's view rapidly changes as he realises he has imprinted on Renesmee (Edward and Bella's new daughter).

The Plot: Bella's Final Story

The thrid and final part of the book is again written from Bella's viewpoint and sees her being turned into a vampire by Edward due to her being nearly killed by the birth of her daughter. Bella takes to immortality with exceptional finesse and fans of the saga will not be disappointed by how Stephanie Meyer has decided to complete her series. Once the Volturi learn of what they believe is an immortal child - something that is strictly forbidden in the vampire world - they prepare to pay the Cullens a visit to destroy Renesmee. The Cullens begin rounded up as many friends and acquaintances as possible and readers are introduced to many new faces. Bella's new abilities as a vampire are explored in detail ad readers finally see a resolution to why Edward has never been able to read Bella's mind. Concluding with the necessary happy ending, Breaking Dawn will leave fans thoroughly satisfied.

What's Next for the Twilight Saga

Stephanie Meyer's work on Midnight Sun, Edwards view point of Twilight has been temporarily suspended due to someone leaking the first 267 pages of a draft onto the internet. However it has been hinted at they Meyer will eventually continue with this book which should provide a very in-depth look into Edward Cullens mind and an excellent companion book to complement Twilight.

Breaking Dawn when you first read it is oober amazing, but after the hype and anticipation dies off you're left feeling incomplete. Breaking Dawn had the potential to be EPIC but the potential was wasted. The other three books are what make up this thing that IS the Twilight saga, but honestly the book series could've used a better ending. Of course, it is Stephenie Meyers book and she chose to end it that way, but I am definitely "Team Trilogy". Parts of this book were awesome: Isle Esme, Emmett's hilarious jokes, Jake's nude scene, the wedding, the other vamps, etc. When the entire Volturi showed up and started trying to hurt the other vamps (with Bella protected) there should have been an EPIC battle. Or maybe at the wedding when Jake finds out about Bella's plans for the honeymoon, HE COULD HAVE CRASHED THE WEDDING (like we all thought he was) That could have been EPIC! But, we are left with NO epic battle, NO wedding crash, but it was pretty sweet to imagine Bella almost dying form giving a disgusting birth to Renesmee :D
